MSALA PAPAD
Masala Papadam is a popular Indian snack or appetizer made by topping crispy roasted or fried papad (thin lentil crackers) with a tangy and spicy mixture of chopped vegetables and spices. It’s a quick, flavorful dish often served in Indian restaurants or as a starter at home.

Ingredients:
- 2–3 papadams (urad dal sneak’s) LIjjat papadam
- 1 small tomato – finely chopped (remove seeds if juicy)
- 1 green chili – finely chopped (optional)
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves – finely chopped
- ½ tsp chaat masala
- ¼ tsp roasted cumin powder
- ½ tsp lemon juice (or to taste)
- Salt – to taste
Optional Additions:
- Finely chopped cucumber or grated carrot
- Pomegranate seeds
- Sev (crispy chickpea noodles) on top
Instructions:
- Roast or fry papadams:
- You can roast them over an open flame, microwave them for 30–40 seconds, or deep-fry until crispy.
- Place on a flat plate once done.
- Prepare the topping:
- In a bowl, mix tomatoes, chili, coriander, and other spices.
- Add lemon juice and salt just before serving to prevent sogginess.
- Assemble:
- Spoon the mixture over the roasted papad.
- Garnish with sev or pomegranate seeds if using.
- Serve immediately to retain the crunch!
