BANANA CHIPS

Here’s a simple banana chips recipe you can make at home—either by frying, baking, or air frying:

Crispy Banana Chips (Fried Method)

Ingredients:

3–4 raw (green) bananas or plantains

Salt, to taste

Turmeric (optional, ¼ tsp for color)

Oil for frying (coconut oil or vegetable oil works well)

Instructions:

1. Prep the Bananas:

Peel the bananas.

Slice them thinly and uniformly using a mandoline or sharp knife (around 1–2 mm thick).

2. Soak (Optional but helps crispiness):

Soak slices in salted water with turmeric for 10 minutes.

Drain and pat dry thoroughly with a towel.

3. Heat Oil:

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.

4. Fry:

Add slices in small batches.

Fry until golden and crisp (3–4 minutes).

Remove and drain on paper towels.

5. Season:

While still warm, sprinkle with salt or desired seasoning (chili powder, chat masala, etc.).

Healthier Option: Baked Banana Chips

Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C).

Arrange thin banana slices on a baking tray lined with parchment.

Lightly brush with oil and sprinkle salt.

Bake for 1.5–2 hours, flipping halfway, until dry and crispy.
